The latest addition to TecSolut’s laboratory equipment is a Jandis TINY-28 Lab Scale Blown Film Extruder. Among other applications, the company will use it in developing solutions for biodegradable food packaging films, as well as plastics recycling.
TecSolut has been enlisted by a major producer of industrial and food packaging films, to develop biodegradable food packaging films. While often contributing to sanitation and food preservation, single-use plastic films for food packaging contribute significantly to environmental waste and are rarely, if ever, recycled. This project is of great importance in the pursuit of sustainable packaging.
As a trusted partner and advisor to multiple long-term customers, TecSolut is participating in the Circle Consortium of Israeli companies and academia to develop new plastic recycling methods and articles made with higher recycled-material content in plastics, while maintaining or improving product quality.
Itay Azuelos is Welcomed as TecSolut’s Newest Project Manager TecSolut is proud to welcome Itay Azuelos, MSc, as its newest Project Manager. Itay brings to the team expertise in plastics and wet capacitors, as well as other R&D engineering capabilities. He holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and began his career as a Quality Engineer at Intel Corporation. In his spare time, Itay is a marathon runner!
TecSolut acquired a Nikon ECLIPSE LV100ND with a DeltaPix Invenio-12EIII Microscope Camera and Image analysis software, adding cutting-edge capabilities to its R&D laboratory facilities. The microscope, with episcopic/diascopic illumination, coupled with the microscopic camera, team to provide outstanding capabilities for observation, inspection, measurement and documentation during research and analyses in diverse industrial applications.
TecSolut was awarded a grant to develop technology for micro-manufacturing of sesame-based milk from the highly-competitive Grand Challenges Israel (Etgar) program and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation initiative. The project will enable local production of this highly-nutritious, non-dairy beverage, using sesame seeds grown in arid regions where hunger and malnutrition are highest. TecSolut’s production method requires minimal space and support, while leaving a negligible carbon footprint.
